PREP:

​

Marking:

Please mark the middle top of your quilt and the top of your backing, if directional, with a safety pin.

​

Backing:

Backing should be a minimum of 4" extra on all sides. 5"-6" preferred. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88" and 70"x90" would be ideal. It can be bigger, not smaller. Extra fees may apply if a smaller backing is sent and we need to put extra time and effort into getting your quilt ready to load. If you have questions, please ask.

Pressing:

Please press your top and backing so that it's nice and tidy and ready to load. Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads from shadowing through your quilt top, please don't skip this important step.

Binding:

If you would like binding, we have a couple options. Option 1 is machine attached binding where stitching will be seen from the front and back of the quilt. Option 2 is binding sewn onto the front of the quilt. For either option you will provide long, sewn together strip for your binding that is 2 1/2" wide.
